God’s Promise to Physical Israel to Live in the Land Was Contingent on Obedience — 5 Comments

  1. Thank you James for putting together this Scriptural compendium of the conditionality of God’s promises to Israel of the “flesh”. And the creation of “Israel” by the United Nations is exactly that, a creation of the United Nations. If you think that the United Nations has the power to “restore” the Covenant promises of God, you have draped the United Nations with powers that only God has. Your conclusion James, that 1948 is a fraud or deception as a spiritual reality is surely true. Your further conclusion that “Israel” is a spiritual reality, since the cross, revealed in the body of Christ, (i.e. the church), is critical in any attempt to make sense of Old Testament prophecy regarding a glorious future for Israel revealed in Old Testament prophecies. That is exactly how the New Testament writers, through their quotations of the Old Testament, applied those prophecies. There is no such thing as a Gentile Church, as opposed to a Jewish church. There is only ONE Church made up of Jews and Gentiles. (The gospel was preached “To the Jews first and also to the Greek.”) Hence the “rapture” doctrine that is designed by it’s creators (false prophets) to allow a “Gentile church” escape the tribulation that will fall on a future Jewish church is also a deception. Thanks for the clarity you give to this important subject. Richard

    • Thank you, Richard, for your encouragement and your good comments! The point of only one Church and therefore the “rapture” doctrine to allow a “Gentile church” to escape the tribulation that will fall on a future Jewish church being also a deception is well said and something I never considered before! I had forgotten that is what Christian Zionists actually teach! Talk about twisting Scripture!

I think the Word of God is clear to all who have a heart to listen, and should therefore be clearly and simply explained in plain non-academic language that anybody can understand no matter what their level of education is. I didn’t see anything on the Internet that explained the conditionality of God’s promises to Israel of the “flesh” as well as the Bible does, and so I felt the Lord wanted me to write a post about it, and especially now in the light of current events. All glory to God for the Truth and clarity of His Word!

    • And also, Richard, what you wrote about “If you think that the United Nations has the power to “restore” the Covenant promises of God, you have draped the United Nations with powers that only God has” is an excellent point. I never considered that before. Thank you for sharing it.

  2. James, I so much appreciate the work you are doing through your web site. Your appreciation for what the Baptist movement (in its various forms throughout Europe during the 1260 “days” of tribulation) contributed to our understanding of Bible Prophecy is invaluable. And your appreciation for the contribution of the Protestant reformers (today mostly forgotten by their spiritual descendants) is also important, especially in regards to the interpretation of Daniel’s prophecies. I will pray, and do pray, God’s blessing on your efforts to lift Jesus high as our only hope. Your friend in Christ, Richard

  3. After 40 years of dispensational thinking, I decided to look at WHO IS ISRAEL in the Bible and began reading the Law. This was Oct 23, in the wake of the Hamas false flag.
I came across the scriptures above in regard to Israel and the conditional covenant to occupy the land.
Several including this one Leviticus 20:22 Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.. I found where modern Israel was created by satanist Rothschilds and allies. The veil fell from my eyes. my post and a series followed.
