The Catholic Church And Economics

Opposition of the Catholic church to capitalism has its roots in the Catholic consciousness of the fact that the feudal hegemony of the Catholic church was broken up by the combined power of capitalism and the Protestant Reformation.

The Hierarchical Structure Of Roman Catholicism

The Hierarchical Structure Of Roman Catholicism

The fundamental concept of authority in the Roman Catholic church is rooted in its hierarchical structure, which is as coherent and immutable as a pyramid. Other institutions outside it may come and go; but the table of basic values of the church of Rome never changes or evolves.

The Real Catholic Church Of Christ

Nothing has contributed more to discredit belief in God and the redemptive work of Christ than this attempt of Roman Catholic theologians to prove their dogmas by their trick syllogistic reasoning. It has driven many to atheism or complete agnosticism. Worst of all, it has caused many millions of well-intentioned and sincere seekers after God to lapse into religious indifferentism.

Jezebel Abroad In America

Jezebel Abroad In America

Much idolatry is flaunted in the faces of Christians today. Pictures of people suppliant before images abound in the secular press, and on tens of thousands of movie screens idolatrous displays and worshiping before images have become the regular diet of the American public.Paganization of the life of a people is a gradual process. Satan does not make his initial attack in the open.

Is The Catholic Confessional A Cause Of Crime?

By Joseph Zacchello This article is from a PDF file on LutheranLibrary.org written in 1944. It was published by The Converted Catholic Magazine and edited by former Roman Catholic priest, Leo Herbert Lehmann. If you see the word “recently,” just think it was recent relative to 1944. But I believe the subject of this article is still relevant today. If you’ve seen the film, “The Godfather,” I think you know … Continue reading →

By Michael de Semlyen and Richard Bennett Papal Penitence On Sunday, March 12, 2000, the first Sunday of Lent, the Pope presided over a solemn ceremony called “The Day of Pardon” in St. Peter’s Basilica, Rome, in which he asked God for forgiveness for the historical wrongs of the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). The ceremony was presented as another profoundly significant event in the RC Church’s “Millennium Jubilee Holy Year” … Continue reading →

The Ten Commandments in the Language of the Pope

I think that most Protestant Christians today have been deceived as to who the Pope of Rome really is. This post may offend some people, but perhaps it may help wake up the sleepers. It was taken from “The Pope – Chief of White Slavers, High Priest of Intrigue” – By Jeremiah J. Crowley, a Roman Catholic priest for 21 years. He wrote it in 1913. Do you think the … Continue reading →

Preterism, Futurism, Historicism – Three Schools of Interpretation of Bible Prophecy

I consider this article a key resource to understand why and how eschatology as understood by the evangelical world today is all messed up! Without exception all the leaders of the Protestant Reformation looked at the Popes of Rome as the man of sin who sits as God in the temple of God – the Church – shewing himself that he is God.

Two years in the Philippines

June 4th, 2025. Two years ago, June 4th, 2023, Tess and I moved from Guam to the Philippines. It’s been a wonderful two years living in the beautiful countryside near the sea in a small village. The Philippines is a poor country where half of the households don’t own a refrigerator, but food is abundant. Nobody goes hungry.

I finished today my project of creating  a PDF file of R. W. Thompson’s insightful book The Papacy And The Civil Power Click on the link to download it. It’s only 1.8 megabytes in size compared to the copy on archive.org which is 39 megabytes.

Pope Leo XIII On His Authority

See The Papacy Is The Antichrist – By Rev. J. A. Wylie

Thoughts about the American Pope

The first ever American to become Pope, Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, reminded me of a quote from The Papacy And The Civil Power – Chapter I. which I posted on this website:

“Pope Gregory XVI., some years ago, uttered the saying, “Out of the Roman States, there is no country where I am pope, except the United States,”…Read More

In all the countries professedly Roman Catholic, the Church was restricted and hampered in what were asserted to be its rights, on account of its close alliance with despotism; while in this country (the USA), owing to the liberality of our institutions, it is “legally free,” and is left without the interference of the law, to the uninterrupted pursuit of its ecclesiastical policy. Manifestly, it is because the nations of Europe, hitherto Roman Catholic, have taken away from “the vicar of God” the power to subordinate the laws of the State to the canon laws of the Church, which have been constructed with sole reference to papal supremacy, that the hope of rebuilding this power in the United States has been excited.” (End of quote.)

Another point is the significance of the name Leo. It was Leo X who, in 1521, excommunicated Martin Luther. Does the name indicate a possible agenda by Robert Prevost to totally crush Protestantism in America? Could he do that when Americans have First Amendment protection that guarantees freedom of religion? Time will tell.

The signing of the Constitution of the Beast of Revelation 13?

signing of the EU constitution

On 29 October 2004, 53 senior political figures from the 25 member states of the European Union signed a treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. The ceremony took place in the ornate surroundings of the Palazzo dei Conservatori in the heart of ancient Rome where the original treaty establishing the Common Market was signed 47 years previously. Behind them is a statue of Pope Leo X. I think it’s significant that area with Leo X in the background was chosen to sign the EU Constitution because Leo X was the Pope who in January 1521 excommunicated Martin Luther.
