Is not the Church of Rome the Babylon of the Book of Revelation? 19th-century Bible scholar Christopher Wordsworth offers infallible proof from Holy Scripture and secular history.

Popery! As it Was and as it Is – By William Hogan

Americans who read this work may think, “This is all very interesting history of the Catholic church in America in the first half of the 19th century, but it is not like that today.” While it’s true that modern American Catholics have a more tolerant attitude toward non-Catholics, what do the priests and bishops think about it? They are still seeking domination of America.

Liberalism: Its Cause And Cure – Chapter Three: The Mainline Churches And Evolution

Increasing doubts about the Bible in the 1870s led to increasing faith in science and the new technology. The devastation of the Civil War in America gave way to optimism about the progress of man. The United States began a period of economic and geographical expansion which did not abate until the reunification of Vietnam in l975.

Science vs. Evolution

Science vs. Evolution

When I was a kid I dreamed of being a scientist someday. It turns out I wasn’t good enough in mathematics to become one. I respect true scientific researchers, people like Dr. James Tour for example. He’s an American chemist and nanotechnologist, a Professor of Chemistry, Professor of Materials Science and Nanoengineering at Rice University in Houston, Texas. And he’ll tell you in his podcasts he loves Jesus more than … Continue reading →

A Conversation with “Professor” Dave Farina About His Debate with Dr. James Tour at Rice University

My wife and I saw on YouTube the debate with Dr. James Tour and Dave Farina that was held at Rice University on May 19th. The subject of the debate: Are We Clueless about the Origin of Life? Dr. Tour says we are clueless and Dave Farina claims science is making great progress in this area. Dr.Tour was gracious toward Mr. Farina and gave him a gift of a picture … Continue reading →

Discussion with a Lady Seeking Answers Why Flat Earth Memes are Pseudoscience

The image above is a flat earth meme to give a false impression that a spinning earth should throw off water into space just like a spinning wet tennis ball. It’s discussed in this article. I don’t take much time talking to people who are convinced the Earth is flat and who are trying to convince me of their pseudoscience. I really thought the lady in this conversation was sincere, … Continue reading →

An Excellent Resource that Debunks Evolution

My good friend Jim Gibson sent me his book, An Appeal to Reason. It’s a great read about examining the evidence of origins in the evolution versus creation debate. Some of the topics: The complexity of living systems The testimony embedded within the fossil record The historical and cultural proofs of man and dinosaurs as being contemporaries The fallacies inherent in the interpretation of radiometric dating The complete shambles of … Continue reading →

Kent Hovid Profoundly Answers the Age Old Question, “Where Did God Come From?”

Kent Hovid’s answer is so good, I transcribed it. You’re welcome to print it out. All right, your question, “Where did God come from?” assumes that you’re thinking of the wrong, obviously displays that you’re thinking of the wrong God. Because the God of the Bible is not affected by time, space or matter. If He’s affected by time, space or matter, He’s not God. Time, space and matter is … Continue reading →

Lupus Occultus: The Paganised Christianity of C. S. Lewis

Lupus Occultus: The Paganised Christianity of C. S. Lewis

by Jeremy James C.S.Lewis is well known among born-again Christians as a ‘Christian’ writer, someone whose inclusive religious viewpoint is of particular relevance to the world we live in today. I would hope to show that this perception of Lewis is not only gravely mistaken but that it arose through deliberate misdirection on the part of Lewis himself. In 2008, after 33 years as an active participant in the New … Continue reading →

Genesis Chapter One Indicates a Spherical Rotating Earth

On March 15th I hitchhiked to the Tokyo area from my home in Niigata City in 4 cars. When sitting in the back seat of one of the cars, the front seat passenger was having a long conversation with the driver. This meant I didn’t have to engage in conversation with them and gave me an opportunity to redeem the time and type a message on my Tablet PC. I … Continue reading →

Thoughts about the American Pope

The first ever American to become Pope, Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, reminded me of a quote from The Papacy And The Civil Power – Chapter I. which I posted on this website:

“Pope Gregory XVI., some years ago, uttered the saying, “Out of the Roman States, there is no country where I am pope, except the United States,”…Read More

In all the countries professedly Roman Catholic, the Church was restricted and hampered in what were asserted to be its rights, on account of its close alliance with despotism; while in this country (the USA), owing to the liberality of our institutions, it is “legally free,” and is left without the interference of the law, to the uninterrupted pursuit of its ecclesiastical policy. Manifestly, it is because the nations of Europe, hitherto Roman Catholic, have taken away from “the vicar of God” the power to subordinate the laws of the State to the canon laws of the Church, which have been constructed with sole reference to papal supremacy, that the hope of rebuilding this power in the United States has been excited.” (End of quote.)

Another point is the significance of the name Leo. It was Leo X who, in 1521, excommunicated Martin Luther. Does the name indicate a possible agenda by Robert Prevost to totally crush Protestantism in America? Could he do that when Americans have First Amendment protection that guarantees freedom of religion? Time will tell.

The signing of the Constitution of the Beast of Revelation 13?

signing of the EU constitution

On 29 October 2004, 53 senior political figures from the 25 member states of the European Union signed a treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. The ceremony took place in the ornate surroundings of the Palazzo dei Conservatori in the heart of ancient Rome where the original treaty establishing the Common Market was signed 47 years previously. Behind them is a statue of Pope Leo X. I think it’s significant that area with Leo X in the background was chosen to sign the EU Constitution because Leo X was the Pope who in January 1521 excommunicated Martin Luther.
