True Christianity Vs Evangelical Zionism — 5 Comments

  1. This is so interesting. I had already not been so pro Israel after I visited in 2020. I was still Catholic and went with my sister’s church in a group. We stayed in Bethlehem most of the time except two days we went to Jerusalem. There’s where I saw that we were treated different at the hotel because it was the Sabbath. The Orthodox Jews were not friendly to us at all and even in the store of the hotel. The tour guide was Catholic and I could tell he didn’t care for the Israeli government. He said all Christian young people leave Israel because there’s no opportunities there. I heard Rick Wiles before. I’ve also been listening to Tutor Alexander. I don’t agree with everything he says but he does a lot of good historical research.

    • Thank you Terri for your good comments! So you fairly recently left the Catholic Church and began to study the Bible? I too was raised Catholic and came to know Jesus as my Savior when I was 20 years old. My Knight of Columbus uncle Chester told me I was confused. I think you too must have suffered a lot of opposition from your relatives by leaving the RCC.

      • Yes I left in 2022. When I didn’t accept the papacy everything unraveled. I was reading Scripture and I saw how much of what Catholicism teaches is not in the Bible. I began to do research. I found videos by Richard Bennett. My youngest brother had left the church in the 90’s. My sister and other brother are very staunch Catholics. I can’t talk to them about it without arguing especially my brother. My parents passed away many years ago. I always believed the Bible so I think that helped me even though I was a very Catholic before I opened my eyes.

  2. Also I haven’t adopted a pre-trib view even though all my Protestant friends have that view. It seemed to good to be true. A secret rapture never has made sense to me. I held a post trib view but now I have the historical view especially understanding the 70 week of Daniel. Reading it sounds like Jesus fulfilled it. I’m not sure about the 1000 years. It doesn’t make sense for people to turn against Jesus. I’m learning a lot on your website.

    • I’m so glad to read all your good comments, Terri! It’s great you weren’t influenced by the despensational view or pre-trib and the false interpretation of the 70th Week of Daniel! I was under the dispensational view of thinking for decades with two notable exceptions. My pastor in the 1970s rejected pre-trib rapture and the modern nation of Israel as God’s people and taught that to his flock, but unfortunately he didn’t reject the rest. But he did admit he got it from Scofield and therefore he and Scofield could be wrong. I had to learn it on my own based on my research. Thank the Lord the Holy Spirit led me to eventually listen to the right voices! But it was a learning process. Some of the people I listened to in the beginning I found out later to be gatekeepers, controlled opposition who pointed in the wrong direction.
