The Counter-Reformation – The Source of the Futurist View of Prophecy

James Japan avatarPosted on May 3, 2024 by James ArendtMay 17, 2024
The Counter-Reformation – The Source of the Futurist View of Prophecy

Pursuing and punishing “heretics” (true believers) was counter-productive. It was clear that the Counter-Reformation needed to take on the very Word of God itself.

The Historical View of Prophecy and Antichrist

Two great truths that stand out in the preaching that brought about the Protestant Reformation—the “just shall live by faith” and the Papacy is the Antichrist.

Roman Catholicism By Lorraine Boettner Chapter XIX A System Tested by its Fruits

James Japan avatarPosted on April 30, 2024 by James ArendtApril 30, 2024

The Roman Catholic Church’s interpretation of the Scriptures is so erroneous and its practices are so persistently unchristian that over the long period of time its influence for good is outweighed by its influence for evil. It must, therefore, as a system, be judged to be a false church.

Roman Catholicism By Lorraine Boettner Chapter XVIII Intolerance, Bigotry, Persecution

James Japan avatarPosted on April 28, 2024 by James ArendtApril 30, 2024

The official doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, is that it alone is the true church, that all other churches and religious groups are in error, either heretical or pagan, and that such churches and groups have not even the right of existence.

Roman Catholicism By Lorraine Boettner Chapter XVII By What Moral Standard?

James Japan avatarPosted on April 27, 2024 by James ArendtApril 28, 2024

One of the strong contrasts between Protestantism and Roman Catholicism is found in the moral codes. In Protestantism this code is taken directly from the Bible.

Scapegoating the Jews – By Darryl Eberhart

This article confirms what I have been teaching on this website, namely the great satanic worldwide conspiracy to lead people to worship the Image of the Beast is not primarily led by Jews or Zionists, but by the Vatican and the Jesuit Order. The Jesuits and their co-conspirators are using the Jewish people as scapegoats to blame them for the evils they themselves are doing! I believe the primary source … Continue reading →

Roman Catholicism By Lorraine Boettner Chapter XII Penance, Indulgences: Salvation by Grace or by Works?

James Japan avatarPosted on April 22, 2024 by James ArendtApril 23, 2024
Roman Catholicism By Lorraine Boettner Chapter XII Penance, Indulgences: Salvation by Grace or by Works?

Protestantism is primarily a reassertion of New Testament Christianity, the teaching that salvation is by faith rather than works. Romanism, on the other hand, teaches that salvation depends ultimately upon ourselves, upon what we do, that one can “earn” salvation by obedience to the laws of the church.

Roman Catholicism By Lorraine Boettner Section Three Chapter XI The Infallibility of the Pope

The doctrine of papal infallibility appeals to many people who are poorly informed. They know practically nothing about the Bible. Consequently, they have no sound theology on which to base their actions.

Roman Catholicism By Lorraine Boettner Chapter IV Tradition

This is the continuation of the previous chapter of Roman Catholicism by Lorraine Boettner. 1 What Tradition Is Protestantism and Roman Catholicism agree that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. But they differ widely in regard to the place that it is to have in the life of the church. Protestantism holds that the Bible alone is the authoritative and sufficient rule of faith and practice. But Romanism … Continue reading →

The Root Of Antisemitism

The Root Of Antisemitism

Foreword from the Webmaster: As Christians, we should not support Zionist Antichrist Israel, but neither should we hate the Jews as a people! The Apostle Paul loved his people the Jews and went out of his way to preach the Gospel to them. I believe all antisemitism comes from non-Christians, those who don’t know true salvation by grace in Jesus Christ. This article is from the Converted Catholic Magazine of … Continue reading →

Thoughts about the American Pope

The first ever American to become Pope, Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, reminded me of a quote from The Papacy And The Civil Power – Chapter I. which I posted on this website:

“Pope Gregory XVI., some years ago, uttered the saying, “Out of the Roman States, there is no country where I am pope, except the United States,”…Read More

In all the countries professedly Roman Catholic, the Church was restricted and hampered in what were asserted to be its rights, on account of its close alliance with despotism; while in this country (the USA), owing to the liberality of our institutions, it is “legally free,” and is left without the interference of the law, to the uninterrupted pursuit of its ecclesiastical policy. Manifestly, it is because the nations of Europe, hitherto Roman Catholic, have taken away from “the vicar of God” the power to subordinate the laws of the State to the canon laws of the Church, which have been constructed with sole reference to papal supremacy, that the hope of rebuilding this power in the United States has been excited.” (End of quote.)

Another point is the significance of the name Leo. It was Leo X who, in 1521, excommunicated Martin Luther. Does the name indicate a possible agenda by Robert Prevost to totally crush Protestantism in America? Could he do that when Americans have First Amendment protection that guarantees freedom of religion? Time will tell.

The signing of the Constitution of the Beast of Revelation 13?

signing of the EU constitution

On 29 October 2004, 53 senior political figures from the 25 member states of the European Union signed a treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. The ceremony took place in the ornate surroundings of the Palazzo dei Conservatori in the heart of ancient Rome where the original treaty establishing the Common Market was signed 47 years previously. Behind them is a statue of Pope Leo X. I think it’s significant that area with Leo X in the background was chosen to sign the EU Constitution because Leo X was the Pope who in January 1521 excommunicated Martin Luther.
