The Two Babylons Chapter VII. Section III — The Beast from the Earth

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Revelation 13:11

The Two Babylons Chapter VII. Section II — The Beast from the Sea

In the old Babylonian system, after the worship of the god of fire, there followed the worship of the god of water or the sea. As the world formerly was in danger of being burnt up, so now it was in equal danger of being drowned.

The Two Babylons Chapter VII. The Two Developments Historically and Prophetically Considered

The idolatrous system of the ancient Babylon assumed different phases in different periods of its history. In the prophetic description of the modern Babylon, there is evidently also a development of different powers at different times.

[Only] One Mediator Between God and Men, the Man Christ Jesus. – 1 Timothy 2:5

[Only] One Mediator Between God and Men, the Man Christ Jesus. – 1 Timothy 2:5

The claimed “motherhood of Mary in the order of grace” having a “saving office” “to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation” is straight blasphemy against the person of Christ Jesus, Who alone is full of grace and truth.

The Two Babylons Chapter VI. Religious Orders.

James Japan avatarPosted on September 17, 2024 by James ArendtSeptember 21, 2024 1
The Two Babylons Chapter VI. Religious Orders.

The Church of Rome, at its first planting, had the divinely bestowed gift of a Scriptural ministry and government; and then “its faith was spoken of throughout the whole world”; its works of righteousness were both rich and abundant. But, in an evil hour, the Babylonian element was admitted into its ministry, and thenceforth, that which had been intended as a blessing, was converted into a curse. Since then, instead of sanctifying men, it has only been the means of demoralising them, and making them “twofold more the children of hell” than they would have been had they been left simply to themselves.

The Two Babylons Chapter V. Section V — Lamps and Wax-Candles

Another peculiarity of the Papal worship is the use of lamps and wax-candles. If the Madonna and child are set up, they must have a lamp.

The Two Babylons Chapter IV. Section V — Purgatory and Prayers for the Dead

The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanseth from ALL sin. If this be true, where can there be the need for any other cleansing? Those who die without personal union to Christ, are consequently unwashed, unjustified, and unsaved.

The Antichrist: His Portrait and History – Appendix C. He That Exalteth Himself. 2 Thess. II. 4

Self-exaltation and blasphemy are conjoined in the Papacy which is Pagan Caesarism which wears a religious mask—exactly as foretold by 2 Thess. ii., Rev. xiii. and Daniel vii. and xi. 36-39.

The Two Babylons Chapter IV. Section II — Justification by Works

James Japan avatarPosted on August 27, 2024 by James ArendtAugust 28, 2024
The Two Babylons Chapter IV. Section II — Justification by Works

The worshippers of Nimrod and his queen were looked upon as regenerated and purged from sin by baptism, which baptism received its virtue from the sufferings of these two great Babylonian divinities. But yet in regard to justification, the Chaldean doctrine was that it was by works and merits of men themselves that they must be justified and accepted of God.

The Roman Catholic Church says baptism is of absolute necessity for salvation insomuch that infants dying without it cannot be admitted to glory. This is not according to the Bible.

Indulgences have been a source of enormous revenue to the Vatican; by appealing to the superstitious fears of their people, high and low, the popes have filled their coffers with gold.

Thoughts about the American Pope

The first ever American to become Pope, Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, reminded me of a quote from The Papacy And The Civil Power – Chapter I. which I posted on this website:

“Pope Gregory XVI., some years ago, uttered the saying, “Out of the Roman States, there is no country where I am pope, except the United States,”…Read More

In all the countries professedly Roman Catholic, the Church was restricted and hampered in what were asserted to be its rights, on account of its close alliance with despotism; while in this country (the USA), owing to the liberality of our institutions, it is “legally free,” and is left without the interference of the law, to the uninterrupted pursuit of its ecclesiastical policy. Manifestly, it is because the nations of Europe, hitherto Roman Catholic, have taken away from “the vicar of God” the power to subordinate the laws of the State to the canon laws of the Church, which have been constructed with sole reference to papal supremacy, that the hope of rebuilding this power in the United States has been excited.” (End of quote.)

Another point is the significance of the name Leo. It was Leo X who, in 1521, excommunicated Martin Luther. Does the name indicate a possible agenda by Robert Prevost to totally crush Protestantism in America? Could he do that when Americans have First Amendment protection that guarantees freedom of religion? Time will tell.

The signing of the Constitution of the Beast of Revelation 13?

signing of the EU constitution

On 29 October 2004, 53 senior political figures from the 25 member states of the European Union signed a treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. The ceremony took place in the ornate surroundings of the Palazzo dei Conservatori in the heart of ancient Rome where the original treaty establishing the Common Market was signed 47 years previously. Behind them is a statue of Pope Leo X. I think it’s significant that area with Leo X in the background was chosen to sign the EU Constitution because Leo X was the Pope who in January 1521 excommunicated Martin Luther.
