The Dark Agenda Of Pope Leo XIV
Transcription
The Vatican has just made history by appointing Pope Leo XIV, the first American to ever sit on the papal throne. But beneath the fanfare and glowing headlines lies a far more troubling reality, one that many will never hear from the mainstream media.
After taking a closer look at who this man is, what he stands for, and the religious system he leads, one thing becomes clear. This isn’t just a new chapter for Catholicism, it’s another step further away from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ for billions of people.
Let’s take a closer look at why Pope Leo XIV is not a spiritual leader, but a spiritual warning.
The Meaning Behind The Name “Leo XIV.”
When a new pope chooses his papal name, it’s never a coincidence. It’s a deliberate act meant to signal who he admires, what values he upholds, and what kind of papacy he intends to lead. So when Cardinal Robert Prevost chose the name Leo XIV, it wasn’t just a tribute, it was a message. He is aligning himself with Pope Leo XIII, who reigned from 1878 to 1903 and was known as the Social Pope.
Leo XIII was praised in his day for promoting Catholic social teaching, especially through his famous encyclical Rerum Novarum, which defended workers’ rights and pushed for labor reforms. Leo XIII blurred the line between spiritual mission and political involvement, urging the Church to work hand-in-hand with civil governments, even when those governments opposed biblical morality.
Rather than calling nations to submit to Christ, Leo XIII sought cooperation with them. Rather than confronting sin, he focused on restructuring society. And now, more than a century later, Leo XIV has chosen to walk the same road. His papacy will follow the path of social reform over spiritual revival.
This isn’t a return to bold biblical leadership, it’s a continuation of the social Gospel, where political activism and cultural appeasement take precedence over repentance and salvation. Helping the poor is biblical, but not at the cost of the Gospel. Jesus didn’t come to reform governments, he came to rescue souls, and any church, leader, or system that forgets that has lost its way.
A Gospel of Climate Activism
One of the most revealing signs of Pope Leo XIV’s worldview is his unwavering devotion to climate activism. While Christians are certainly called to be good stewards of creation, today’s environmental movement is nothing more than a political religion that worships the Earth and demonizes humanity. We are constantly told the planet is on the brink of destruction. From melting ice caps to rising sea levels. Yet these dire predictions fail to materialize.
Still, the narrative marches on, unquestioned and untouchable. And now, the new Pope is among its loudest preachers. Pope Leo XIV has made it abundantly clear that he will continue and likely expand Pope Francis’ climate agenda. In fact, from the very beginning of his papacy, Leo praised Francis’ legacy of being outspoken in his support for environmental action. His messaging has embraced the same buzzwords we hear from world governments and elite institutions. Sustainability, global cooperation, ecological justice.
But the Bible warns us about this very kind of distortion. Romans chapter 1 verse 25 says, They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator. That’s exactly what’s happening today. The Earth has become an idol, praised, feared, and protected, while the Creator is ignored.
Under Leo XIV, it is clear that this environmental Gospel is also going to be pushed as if it were a divine mission. But this is not biblical stewardship, it’s spiritual distraction. And it’s not just wrong, it’s dangerous. Because when saving the Earth becomes the mission, saving souls is no longer the priority.
Let’s be clear, the world will not be destroyed by climate change. Peter chapter 3 verse 10 tells us, The Earth will one day pass away, not by man’s pollution, but by God’s judgment. The true danger isn’t rising temperatures, it’s unrepentant hearts. No pope, no priest, no policy can redeem this world. Only Jesus can.
So while Leo XIV preaches about rising sea levels, let us preach about the risen Savior. While he warns of climate catastrophe, we must warn of eternal separation from God. Because the planet isn’t what needs saving, people are.
IGBTQ Inclusion
As a bishop years ago, Leo XIV voiced concern over the normalization of homosexuality and popular culture, a view that once reassured traditional Catholics. But today, his tone has shifted to match the more progressive posture of Pope Francis. In his first appearance as pope, Leo XIV called for a united church made up of women and men, faithful to Jesus Christ, and urged being open to all, with open arms for everyone.
Progressive Catholics quickly interpreted this as a green light to continue pushing for the blessing of same-sex couples, and more inclusive policies under the guise of walking together.
This language is spiritually dangerous. The Bible doesn’t bend to cultural pressure. 1 Corinthians 6-9-10 clearly warns that unrepentant sexual sin, including homosexuality, separates people from God. Pope Leo XIV’s refusal to draw clear lines is not mercy, it’s compromise. No pope has the authority to bless what God has declared sinful. And any church that prioritizes inclusion over repentance is not leading people to salvation, it’s leading them to judgment.
The Ecumenical Church
One of the clearest red flags with Pope Leo XIV is his strong embrace of the ecumenical and interfaith movement, a global effort to unite all religions under a single banner of peace and dialogue, regardless of doctrine or biblical truth. In his very first address, he called the Catholic Church a bridge of dialogue and encounter, emphasizing unity in mission, charity, and justice.
His official motto, “In the One We Are One,” reflects this ecumenical agenda. Leaders from across the religious spectrum celebrated his election. The World Council of Churches praised his commitment to building bridges. The United Methodist Church and even the Eastern Orthodox Patriarch called him a brother in the mission of global church unity.
But the Bible warns against this kind of unity that compromises truth for togetherness. True Christian unity is only possible through faith in the biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ, not by blending truth with error. In 2 Corinthians 6-14 we are told, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
This ecumenical push, endorsed by Pope Leo XIV, is not a sign of revival. It’s a setup for the end-time one-world religion warned about in Revelation 17. It may look like peace and progress, but it’s spiritual deception. We are not called to unify with false teaching. We are called to stand apart, hold fast to truth, and preach salvation in Christ alone.
A False System with a False Gospel
Here’s the deeper issue. Even if Pope Leo XIV distanced himself from politics or appeared to uphold core biblical values, it wouldn’t change the root of the problem. Catholicism itself is not biblical Christianity.
Scripture teaches that salvation comes by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Catholic doctrine, however, adds layers, mixing faith with works, sacraments, and submission to church authority. It elevates the pope as a spiritual mediator and refers to Mary as a co-redeemer, titles the Bible reserves for Christ alone. 1 Timothy 2-5 says plainly, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. That excludes priests, popes, and saints.
The Catholic mass teaches that Christ’s sacrifice is represented each time it is celebrated. But Hebrews 10:10 declares, We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. The cross was a finished, perfect sacrifice. There is no need, nor biblical justification, for it to be repeated, even symbolically. To do so diminishes the sufficiency of Calvary.
The rosary also exalts Mary beyond what Scripture allows, repeating prayers like Hail Mary and seeking her intercession. Yet in Luke 11:27-28, when a woman praised Mary, Jesus redirected the honor to obedience by stating, Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it.
No matter how kind, sincere, or influential a pope may appear, if he points people to man-made tradition instead of the finished work of Christ, he is leading them away from salvation. Jesus warned that, The road to life is narrow, and there are few who find it. Catholicism widens that road, offering detours through rituals, relics, and religious hierarchy. But there is no salvation in popes, priests, or tradition. Salvation is found in Christ alone.

Don’t be Deceived
Pope Leo XIV may be the most powerful religious figure in the world right now, but he is not a shepherd of biblical truth. His platform elevates environmentalism over evangelism, tolerance over repentance, and religious unity over salvation through Jesus Christ alone. The system he leads cannot save you, it never could. Only Jesus Christ, crucified, risen, and returning, is the way to eternal life.
This is a wake-up call to every believer. Get into the word of God, test everything against scripture, and cling to the true shepherd, not to a man in Rome, but to the risen Savior in heaven.
