The British Monarchy In Peril

The British Monarchy In Peril

The departure of the Bristish royal family from their constitutional identity and duty as faithful Protestants had been seen in their fraternising with Roman Catholics. Prince Charles had attended Mass on more than one occasion with Catholic friends and was prevented from participating in the Pope’s private Mass only by command of the Queen.

The Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements

John Wesley’s Arminian teachings had inspired the founders of The Holiness Movement. In time this would become identified with “The Baptism of the Holy Spirit” and the speaking with tongues of Pentecostalism and the Charismatic Movement.

The Origins of Arminianism

This is the next chapter of the book, The Foundations Under Attack: The Roots of Apostasy – By Michael de Semlyen This article talks about the differences between Calvinism and Arminianism. I personally don’t understand why theologians want to debate doctrines like this. Neither John Calvin nor James Arminius taught me the Gospel of Christ. I want to get my doctrines straight from the Word of God, from the Bible, … Continue reading →

The Palestinians, a Brief Historical Sketch – by Reinhard Schaap

My good friend Reinhard from the Netherlands sent this to me. He says it’s part of a seminar he gave to the college of his Baptist Congregation about Jacob and Esau. I value history and this article certainly has information I was not aware of! The emphasis in underline are mine. “Behold, your house is left desolate for you,” Matt. 23:38. “If they build, I will destroy” Mal. 1:4. “The … Continue reading →

The Textual Controversy

The Textual Controversy

My one object has been to defeat the mischievous attempt, which was made in 1881 to thrust upon this Church and Realm a revision of the Sacred Text, which recommended though it be by eminent names, I am thoroughly convinced, and am able to prove, is untrustworthy from beginning to end.

The Modern Versions – Origins and Influences

The 1881 committee that produced the Revised Version, the mother of the majority of today’s modem versions, was unimpressed with the weight of the evidence supporting the Received Text, which had been used for English translations by William Tyndale, John Rogers, and Miles Coverdale, as well as later by the 1611 translators.

A Protestant View of Church History: The Early Church by Ronald N. Cooke

This is a repost from an article on The Trinity Foundation. Dr. Cooke talks about historical events in history that the reader may not be familiar with. I will therefore add clarification from other sources such as Wikipedia. I don’t seek information from left-leaning Wikipedia on controversial issues, but it does seem to be even-handed on less controversial matters. The Pope And The Devil

The Pope declared that God had arranged for him to meet and sign a pact with a man whom he (the Pope) knew was little better than a devil! The so-called “Vicar of Jesus Christ,” should sign agreements with two men, Mussolini and Hitler, who were little better than devils!

The Real Catholic Church Of Christ

Nothing has contributed more to discredit belief in God and the redemptive work of Christ than this attempt of Roman Catholic theologians to prove their dogmas by their trick syllogistic reasoning. It has driven many to atheism or complete agnosticism. Worst of all, it has caused many millions of well-intentioned and sincere seekers after God to lapse into religious indifferentism.

Jezebel Abroad In America

Jezebel Abroad In America

Much idolatry is flaunted in the faces of Christians today. Pictures of people suppliant before images abound in the secular press, and on tens of thousands of movie screens idolatrous displays and worshiping before images have become the regular diet of the American public.Paganization of the life of a people is a gradual process. Satan does not make his initial attack in the open.

Two years in the Philippines

June 4th, 2025. Two years ago, June 4th, 2023, Tess and I moved from Guam to the Philippines. It’s been a wonderful two years living in the beautiful countryside near the sea in a small village. The Philippines is a poor country where half of the households don’t own a refrigerator, but food is abundant. Nobody goes hungry.

I finished today my project of creating  a PDF file of R. W. Thompson’s insightful book The Papacy And The Civil Power Click on the link to download it. It’s only 1.8 megabytes in size compared to the copy on archive.org which is 39 megabytes.

Pope Leo XIII On His Authority

See The Papacy Is The Antichrist – By Rev. J. A. Wylie

Thoughts about the American Pope

The first ever American to become Pope, Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, reminded me of a quote from The Papacy And The Civil Power – Chapter I. which I posted on this website:

“Pope Gregory XVI., some years ago, uttered the saying, “Out of the Roman States, there is no country where I am pope, except the United States,”…Read More

In all the countries professedly Roman Catholic, the Church was restricted and hampered in what were asserted to be its rights, on account of its close alliance with despotism; while in this country (the USA), owing to the liberality of our institutions, it is “legally free,” and is left without the interference of the law, to the uninterrupted pursuit of its ecclesiastical policy. Manifestly, it is because the nations of Europe, hitherto Roman Catholic, have taken away from “the vicar of God” the power to subordinate the laws of the State to the canon laws of the Church, which have been constructed with sole reference to papal supremacy, that the hope of rebuilding this power in the United States has been excited.” (End of quote.)

Another point is the significance of the name Leo. It was Leo X who, in 1521, excommunicated Martin Luther. Does the name indicate a possible agenda by Robert Prevost to totally crush Protestantism in America? Could he do that when Americans have First Amendment protection that guarantees freedom of religion? Time will tell.

The signing of the Constitution of the Beast of Revelation 13?

signing of the EU constitution

On 29 October 2004, 53 senior political figures from the 25 member states of the European Union signed a treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. The ceremony took place in the ornate surroundings of the Palazzo dei Conservatori in the heart of ancient Rome where the original treaty establishing the Common Market was signed 47 years previously. Behind them is a statue of Pope Leo X. I think it’s significant that area with Leo X in the background was chosen to sign the EU Constitution because Leo X was the Pope who in January 1521 excommunicated Martin Luther.
